Sketch question

yes, my intentions are pry bar beater knife

Then buy a pry bar and keep it in your pack, knives aren't meant for prying. I would round out the index finger area as was mentioned, that will be a very uncomfortable area when in use. I'd also bring the beginning of the clip back a little further on the spine and round out the point on the butt some. Just my two cents.

Point on the but was intended as a glass breaker

It can still be a glass breaker and be a little blunt. You don't want to accidentally stab yourself with it or have it dig into your side while you are carrying it in a sheath. If you still want it to be a sharp point, then make the angle more obtuse, i.e. greater than 90*.

Excellent point( no pun intended)

Mike, grab a 50 cent piece and throw it in the choil area and it will look cleaner and much more comfortable

I think the blade is too short to be so wide. Perhaps a bit of recurve would alleviate that blocky look. Also, a good fairly deep clip point with the belly raising to meet it would give it a wicked look.

So make a wood prototype. I don't think it needs a choil just the sharpening notch. On a six inch blade a choil doesn't make sense to me it the handle blade juction is properly executed to allow working close to the grip.

I didn't realize just how thick 2.5 in wide was going to be , at the same time I don't really want to waste the steel, I know it looks a bit blocky but I did that more or less for easy cut out, when I take the grinder to it I plan on rounding it off and working a better angle on the clip point.
Next time I'm going to get 1.5 in wide, will be Alot easier to work with

Update post, from cardboard to steel quite smoothly, I left some extra steel in the marked areas to leave me some room for error when grinding. I think it looks quite better on the steel then it did on cardboard
