Skinner info and, now, pics!

Hey gang, every time I seem Chemdawg's skinner pics I get revved up to get my hands on one. Even more so after BWilson's recent stunning acquisition. So, I've been poring over the pic threads drooling over the incredible skinners. So, I was hoping to get some info about this awesome grind if any of you all has the gouge.. Looking through the pic thread, it doesn't seem like there are really any skinner appearances until mid to late 2012 - when was it first introduced? Any idea how many have been made?Finally (well probably not, but for now) I noticed two variations in the spine just aft of the tip - one has something of a swedge while the other does not. Is this a result of the custom grind, or are there two versions (similar to a spearpoint vs deep swedge spearpoint)? I stole one of Chemdawg's pics from the pic thread to illustrate what I'm talking about below..

They are all hand ground customs and have existed for quite awhile in the XM world. But are very few in number.

Production Slicers, then Wharnies gives hope to production skinners and spearpoints.
 
Wow, that has to be by far my favorite grind. Here's hoping that grind will eventually make it to production.
 
If you guys don't already know that my main want is Spearpoint Flipper in FDE DLC, I'll state it now.

That said, I am not the selfish type and will throw my vote to a production Skinner for the hopeful future; because I know many of you would love to see them. My words are my own and have no basis in product reality.

Bolstered XM 18 is so exquisite. I only see 3 of them so far. But the skinner blade style takes the cake for me.

Holy crap! you have quite a pair. Beautiful!!! I love the liner lock with the bolsters.
