When I posted this thread I didn't want to jinx myself by throwing out that I had a skinner inbound, but it arrived safe and sound. AND completely exceeding my expectations! This thing is incredible, I think it may supplant the wharnie as my favorite grind, although it won't be an every day carry kinda knife. It's going to rest in the safe and be fondled from time to time until I can put it to use on some AK critters. I put a textured CF scale on it and some bronze accents to dress it up, in the field it will wear orange and the most secure lanyard/tether I can devise - there's no way I'm going to risk losing this bad boy!
Anyway, I snapped a few quick pics before heading to work tonight (it's going with me

^wow!!! That is awesome Shane. Beautiful score buddy!! I am really happy for you that you finally landed your grail. What an amazing find. I can't stop staring at it!! Great job dressing it up as well. Good choice with the textured CF scale (my favorite besides TI scales).

It would be cool to see a prod version, but I'm not going to not use this one while holding out for that.
Not worried about resale, this one is going to be mine and I'm gonna use it.

Weird, I just came to this thread to post something and found it closed. I don't recall doing that, or have any idea why I would.. I suppose I could have fat-fingered it in a sleep-deprived state..
Rubi, Mike, Rob - did one of you all close it? If so, please let me know as I just reopened it and if it needs to be closed (although I can't imagine why), my apologies and I'll close it again..
Anyway, if it was just some goofy trons or my baffoonery that closed it I will continue with what I came here to post
So, I shared the same skinner pics on the RHK Collectors/Users (unofficial) FB page and a buddy of mine, who has zero exposure to XMs, sent me a message along the lines of: Wow, awesome knife, how can I get one?!? Ah, if he only knew! Maybe I'll send him a loaner prod spanto to get him hooked...
