Skinners are taking shape.

Can you use the black shafting epoxy from Golfsmith? In "Glue Wars" that stuff seemed to hold up pretty good and I've used quite a bit of it with excellent results... Unless you need something thinner, otherwise it might be worth looking at.

I did router the slabs, but I would consider it a rough router as the slab profile is not clean to the tang yet, just close. I intend to shape and thin the handles out, but it seemed the router would save me some time and give me a nice a symmetrical start. In the past, getting the corners started could take quite a while. As you can imagine, this was fast. With the bolts, I was able to rough the slab profiles while they were on the blade, took them off to router, then glued and screwed them. I have an upcoming project that is going to require a router so I thought I would play with it now. Here's the router table, inspired by my stamp press, which was designed after a recently banned member's press - you know the one.

Great idea, thank you. I have a Golfsmith nearby.

I saw some great knives yesterday at the Pasadena show. Today, I worked these handles. They need more work, but will stay fairly rough for grip (except the burgundy). I should have made the handles about 1/8" taller, but they still feel good.
