Samhain73 got the method right as I recall.

I happen to like the greenish color that scream Ti to me.

I was just trying to change the color in the divots.
 
You buy a skirmish and snap that blade out and I will be surprised if you can find anything "girlish" about it. It has great balance and the handle feels so good in the hand. I just can't say enough good stuff about my skirmish. And the pocket clip works very good. I have read some say it is way too big. A big knife like this needs a long clip. All in all, I think it is a great knife and I carry mine every day.
