Skookum Bush Tool

That is a great idea, I'm going to try to make one. Can you post a few more photos of it.

Thanks - Ron

Here's a few more shots if anyone would like to make one. It is very simple. I still need to clean it up a bit and I plan to treat the leather to match the sheath. It is functional as is. The belt loop is very tight and hard to start the belt into but very firm in place. The leather will relax a bit once it's treated, and used, and used a lot.

It isn't brain surgery. I made a paper template first and then traced it out on some thick leather I had in the shop. I have it laced with paracord sheath now for lack of leather laces.

The frog did not affect retention of the knife in the sheath.

Here's a size comparison with a Mora 2000 and a Mora #1. The SBT looks, feels, and acts like a seriously upgraded Mora.

The official hand shot. The knife is very solid in the hand and balances between the front lanyard hole and central rivet. Mac

I don't want to tell how much it is as I don't want to pin Rod to a price but you can email him concerning the price. The email address is in the link provided on the first post.

Anyone have a picture of the Green Micarta one? That's what I ordered.

One more question, has anyone tried the A2 steel with a ferro rod, I get good sparks with 1095, what about A2 or O1? These seem to be the steel choices for this knife.

HD,
When I ordered my SBT, Rod told me me it would take 4-6 weeks, I shot Rod an email around the 4th week, and he told me he was just finishing mine up. I had it a few days later. :D

You know I agree that it looks a great knife but people keep saying it is exactly as Mors Kochanski describes and it is'nt, as Mors says the blade tip should be close to the centre line of the handle and on this blade it is level with the top !!!

I may not be centered but it definately does not look level with the top. There appears to be a taper to it. I have one on order and can't wait either way!:D

I'm not saying that it is a bad thing either way !
If there is a taper it is very, very slight as I keep looking at the pics, also on the outdoors mag link, and I cannot see it !!!

I guess I will find out when I get my knife.
