In honor of the Bond movie coming out, what do you think that Bond would EDC? What would his go to sharp be?

Very good question. I'll go with an Emerson CQC-8, though I don't know why. Its just a bad boy knife that seems up for just about anything. And I think it has an SAS bloodline. Bond in a tux might carry an Al Mar Eagle ultralite.

Bond has no need for a knife, because he always has something from Q.

He might carry a multitool.

If he did carry a knife, it would be something expensive, with pearl in the handles, and possibly some gold. The design would not be very important, but it would be expensive, and would have belonged to somebody historically important.

If Bond carried some kind of fighting knife, it would be a full custom, made by him for somebody who served in the SAS. It would have mutiple attachment points, and a single-use CO2 cartridge so that it would launch from the sheath with lethal force up to ten feet away.

Warning: message contains something that spoils very minor detail in the Skyfall movie!

In the Skyfall movie Bond diggs out bulletpieces from his chest using small folder. There is only small glimpse of this folder (cant find picture). It seems to have nailnick. Can anyone identify this folder?

Emerson or Microtech would fit my idea of his image, but considering the tiny little gun that he carries he might just carry a tiny little AlMar.

I see Bond carrying a fixed blade. Spyderco's street beat is sharp and pointy. Easy to hide...after all he is a spy. Most tactical/ tough folders weigh double that of a small fixed blade and they won't be as strong.

^^^I'd love to see Bond with an Al Mar.

Maybe a "Q'ed" version of a Benchmade OTF. Modded for ballistic blade, taser, poison dart, etc.

As Bond is British it would likely be this Guycep

or a Farid folder, but Farids are usually built like soviet tanks and therefore would spoil the line of Bond's tux.

Good point- I always picture a spy when I see photos of boot daggers, and I've seen sheaths for daggers with a shoulder harness. He could have that integrated into the shoulder harness for his tiny little PPK.

Bond would carry something with maximum class. None of this tacticool nonsense.

Rolex watches, Fine cigarettes, Walther pistol...

I'm thinking Chris Reeve Mnandi.

Bond is known to be a fan of the Fairbairn-Sykes dagger. For a folder, probably a traditional, best guess there is something like the GEC Conductor.

This would be true if it were a Pierce Brosnan Bond/Roger Moore, Daniel Craig bond seems to be more down and dirty. I'd probably go with something a little less classy and a little more rugged for his style. Maybe an Umnumzaan tanto or a XM-18.

Yeah, I'm thinking more Connery Bond / Book Bond.

I left out Sean Connery because those knives didn't exist in the 60s/early 70s. But would definitely go well with him.
