Skyline , why is it so popular?

The skyline is the best $30 knife out there if you consider the materials used and craftsmanship. That is just my opinion, I miss my Skyline and wish I kept it.

Kershaw skylines are epicly awesome. Great EDC Knife and very light I just love mine. But I have had rust problems with mine.

Don't know... Someone send me one I'll decide for myself :D

I highly doubt it would compete with my endura1- only knife(folding) I've used pretty much for over a year, carried everyday consistently

But I REALLY do want to get one to see how good it really is...

The design as a whole...it's so simplistic, yet elegant, beautiful and useful.Oh and did I mention light as a feather!

So was the Tan DLC Skyline just a limited deal or will it be back? A local hardware store has one for $65 but I cant see paying $30 for a tan handle and blade coating. I do love that design and cant wait to get one.

Skyline - what's not to like?

Good ergos, good looks, good steel, good carry, good price. GET ONE!

Hm the only dislike I have is the pocket clip. It should have been a little closer to the end, so less handle is exposed in tip up carry.
But for the rest I can't think of anything else. It's just an awesome knife!

Has anyone ever tried re-profiling the scales where it comes to a sharp angle to try rounding it off some?

Been curious about the Skyline for a while, and I really liked the look of the red G10. So, when the Snap-On ones popped up on Dave's site, I couldn't help myself. It arrived this evening. Here it is sitting atop the remnants of the vessel in which it arrived.

Has anyone had any problems with rust on these? Had a minor issue with that in Haiti but not since coming back to the states.

The Skyline is a great knife for the money. It does belong in the same conversation as the Buck 110, Spyderco Delica, Benchmade Griptillian, etc.

I sold mine 'cause it was a little small and thin for my personal taste and because of the aforementioned rust. My Skyline DID NOT rust, but based on my experience with bead blasted Sandvik steel knives from Kershaw, I figured it was only a matter of time.

My girlfriend has been carrying the sandvik skyline for over a year now and it has not rusted yet. She doesn't keep especially good care of it either.

The Skyline has replaced the SAK Farmer as my gift knife to people who get gifts from me. While I agree that it is a fantastic knife, it hasn't replaced the ZT350WW in my pocket.

It knocked my Endura out of my pocket, and I'd carried that knife for almost 15 years! It's sharp, light and easy to deploy. I removed the pocket clip (too tight) and it rides perfectly next to my wallet. I've had some rust spots, but those are easy to handle. A great little knife; if they came out with a fixed blade version I'd be all over it!
