Pretty simple, You do not need mad artistic skills. Doodle on a napkin, play in Photoshop, break out Cad, Doesn't really matter to me. You don't get points for prettiest picture.

Love it, Skystorm.

I'm out on this one, since I won the Take 1 contest. Here's my design that Skytorm built for me.

It is hand's down my favorite sheath, made to hold either a BK-9 or Machax. Sky made it exactly how I envisioned it, only tougher.

Go nuts and design something cool, fellas. I'm interested to see what you guys come up with. :D

Wow this is awesome !! Ima get to designing!! (Hello ! )

Awesome!
I've had an idea that's been floating around in my head for a while.
A convertible sheath that can be ranger carry or dangler on belt carry. The ranger carry uses the normal belt loop for the dangler but you put it on your belt upside down. Then attach the adjustable belt that goes over your shoulder and attaches to the back of your belt. To carry on your leg as a dangler sheath you can reuse one half of the over the shoulder strap as a leg strap.

This might work better with the 2 instead of the 9. I'm thinking that while carrying it on your chest ranger carry, you should be able to sit down and not have the handle poking into your thigh. With the over-the-shoulder ranger carry you would be able to carry a large knife under a jacket or vest. You would be able to carry open on your leg or concealed (less conspicuously) on your chest covered up using the same sheath. All you would need to do is change the strap.

This also might work better with the 5, 7 or one of the shorts, but I only have the 2 and 9.

This could also be made to use one of your removable altoids tin pouches and fire steel loops.

Ok, so if you remember from last time I SUCK at art. So this is a really bad drawing. Be that as it may, here we go.

Multi-Mode Bk-11/4 sheath. Can be inverted as a neck knife with gutted paracord beaded chain fed through the belt loop, belt carried either horizontal or vertical, right or left side, or pocket carried. Has a firesteel attached to the side.
Altoid tin pouch can be mounted on the side out of the belt carry. Knife and firesteel are held in place with elastic cord

I like this one. I have been working on something similar but hadn't thought about making the pouch removable for pocket carry.....I hate using hardware but.........where's my paper....hmmmmmmmmm

Pretty simple design, I guess. BK2 Sheath. Been thinking about stripping my 2, and getting some wood scales for it, and a leather sheath. Anywhos, this is what I came up with. Simple belt loop design, although it isn't shown, dyed leather, embossed, with rattlesnake skin inlays.

Added a firesteel loop:

That is pretty cool looking Warrior, needs a viper head shaped end to complete the rattler look :)

Snakes...funny you should mention snakeskin. I have a couple dozen being tanned at the moment for me. I like that one, nice and clean. That would be a low riding sheath they way it is currently set up, you would probably want a tie down on it.
Saving this image.....

I actually prefer sheaths to ride lower. I always feel it's easier to get out of the sheath, hence why I made my drop leg BK2 sheath. Yes, you're right, a tie down should have been rendered.

Bump and an add, for people that want to carry it as more of a drop leg instead of riding high on the belt you can add a strap that fits into binding on the sides.

Again, I suck at pictures so don't put too much weight into this:

As a dabbler in the art of leather working myself, I must say that this is a beautiful design. Elegant and classy yet still ballsy and functional!! Very nice indeed.

Back from the drawing board

A multi carry rig that can even be worn slung over the shoulder w/ tin pouch & ferro rod holder

Or put the ferro rod holder on the tin pouch & attach it to the shoulder belt

Lobo,

That is a Hedgehog sheath, and my Edc pouch. As I said the design must be your own.

Just so you guys know, an inlay is one thing but doing something like the EDC pouch or a sheath in a complete snake overlay would be pretty much out. Snake is not as durable a material as something like shark or elephant or ostrich.

Ok you lost me here on the binding part, I need more explaining....A drop loop could be accomplished as a snap on type deal though maybe.

Heavy leather sheath for the 9 that would have a removable dangle held by a strap that would double as the top strap for MOLLE attachment. It would have a very slim pocket on the front to hold a 14 and a ferro rod attachment in front of that. I put stitch marks on the pic, but I would totally defer to your expertise on how to actually attach the parts of the sheath. I was shooting for a thin and narrow sheath that would hold the 9 and 14 together. It could be set up for dangle or directly on the belt carry as well as being able to attach to the molle straps on a pack. I forgot to add some kind of retention strap for the 9, but my idea was to make a tight pocket that was deep enough for the 14 so it would retain the knife, but not be too hard to remove for use. A small ring on the bottom for attaching a cord to tie off on the leg when needed. Dark brown or black...
