Sleeping with Knives

I don`t keep a knife in bed with me but,if I did I would opt for a fixed blade to preclude any fumbling around trying to open a folder in a semi-comatose state. My first line of defense is a 12 GA. Mossberg 500 Cruiser loaded with #4 buckshot hanging in the closet.
