Slice ceramic utility knives

I don't understand the need to turn what was simply a discussion of a novel kind of utility knife into a political diatribe.
The reason is that this "novel utility knife" would have not been needed or developed but for the sorry political climate that exists in some places, and this political climate brings about the nuts that are trying force the use of such things on everyone.

I don't think appealing to a political conspiracy theory is necessary to explain why a company would be interested in marketing innovative technology.

Slice makes a blade that appears to have good edge retention. I have been using their cutters for weeks and I don't see them as toys, and they aren't at all comparable to opening boxes with keys or the back of a boxcutter. They outperform some pocket knives I have for ease of opening boxes. The added safety is just a bonus.
