Sliciest Spydercos

The Ladybug is 2mm thick, one of the thinnest offerings by Spyderco.

The hollow ground Gayle Bradley folders are very thin behind the edge due to the hollow grind.

Interesting, the Urban looks like an underrated contender here based on BTE. And whether BTE or at the spine, looks like the chaparral will be hard to beat. Good find!

Every Spyderco that I own (over 160 of them) is pretty "slicey."

The "most slicey" are probably those w/a flat grind, which is probably why Sal & Company use it so often in their knives, of which there are many.

The only other blades that might be considered even "more slicey" are those that are serrated. I don't find much use for serrated blades but there's no doubt about their better overall cutting ability when "tougher" materials are involved.

EDC less than 3" - Chaparral easy wins this debate

In the whole Spyderco catalog, it would have to be a Z-Cut for the overall title.

Historically I would say it’s the C17 Catcherman. It’s a flat, thin folding fillet knife :

C17BKE_M.jpg
I'll second that on the C-17 Catcherman model Especially the older AUS-8, full SE Catcherman model. I still use mine quite a bit in the kitchen and it's a dream knife for meat, fish, poultry and all other types of food preparation. Now I do have a newer release from Spyderco that definitely qualifies for this thread>>> I'm speaking of the new Sprint Run C-60 Ayoob model. The Ayoob has for years been one of my all time favorites. And with the blade design on the C-60 Ayoob model and not to mention that this newer one has CRUWEAR blade steel. But what I've tested this model on has been mind blowing as far as it's ability to slice. I have two more Spyderco models that could qualify for this thread but the Catcherman and the C-60 Ayoob are both awesome.

Not one mention of the Resilience? The longest bladed currently available Spyderco folder, and a fairly lean (for a production knife) .020" behind the edge on tall bladed a full flat grind. It is an amazing slicer out of the box, let alone after it gets reground.

Here is my slicey choice. The Spyderco Murry Carter Kitchen Knives. I'll put them up against any of those pocket knives. A few whacks from these kitchen knives and those little Spyderco folding knives will be toast!

Nice regrinds, David. The Police is longer though. Quite slicey, too, a stock lightweight Police is thinner than the stock Resilience (.118" vs. .122").
