Slight delay to start off the new year guys.

Scary stuff, Steve.

The knives will still be there when you're feeling good again.

Just take it one step at a time and keep at the problem until you get the resolution you need. Meanwhile, the rest of us will keep throwing up smoke and prayers on your behalf.

The heart of a 20 year old, eh? ;) Lucky devil. :)

Doc said it could be any number of things that started my heart to behaving this way suddenly and that they may never know what it is behind it....

Nevertheless, even with the cardiologist telling me to my face that I had the heart of a twenty something year old based on the tests and that I was healthy as a horse (clydesdale) from what he could tell it doesn't change the fact that my heart skips beats and double beats quite frequently. I'm sitting here tonight putting up with it as I watch the tube and type this. Its still as aggravating as it was when it first started but I guess I'm going to have to take the opinions of the four doctors seeing me so far that other than some weird rhythms to my heart beat I'm normal and no treatment is needed or given for what I'm experiencing. I find this hard to believe because the whole experience sure seems to be highly unusual for a guy never having this happen before to be suddenly going through this but that is what I was told.

Steve, I had something similar happen to me in my early 30's, and believe me, it scared me because my dad died of a heart attack at 39. I had the double beat and fluttering. Didn't have the high BP like you. Went through a lot of the same tests. They never did figure out what caused it, told me stuff like too much caffeine and to much exercise! I just got used to it, and as I type this I realize it just doesn't happen anymore (I'm 42 now). So I guess I was no worse for the wear. Sometimes it would irritate me briefly when it would happen, sometimes I wouldn't even think about it. So maybe just some hope that it something that is no big deal other than occasionally irritating, and that it will go away on its own.

One ER doc told me my BP was high because my 'beer belly' was putting pressure on my kidneys and raising my BP. Of course he has no idea that I have been told I have borderline high BP since I was 19 or 20, long before I had anything remotely similar to a 'beer belly' and more like a 'six pack' back then. Anyway, I told him I'd see about working on reducing the belly if he thought it would help. Problem is I like to eat! And of course all the stuff I like snacking on is no good. Anyway, I've been walking three laps around the block with the wife everyday and making every effort to eat right. Next I may have to see about putting up a basketball hoop in the drive way or back yard or something and shoot some when weather permits. I used to like basketball a lot and was quite good at it at one time so maybe that will give me some much needed calorie burning doing something I'll stick with. Walking the block or the mall just isn't doing it for me you know?

I had something similar soon after moving into my big new house with big new payments and all that goes with it.I didn't see the doc for awhile, just made sure i took my meds(HighBloodPressure and chlorestral) as i was suppose to.When i did go for my 6 mo. checkup he found a slight heart murmur. Now,that's gone and i quit having the fluttering.Im sure mine was all stress related.Learn to say F@#K it,like me.:DSeriously ,best of luck and take it easy.

My skipping has really settled down for which I am quite glad. Now if I could just get my energy back I'll be normal again. BP still a little higher than it should be but better. I hate popping pills!
