Here is one that is 1095 and highly figured stabilized sapele.

It has a nice visible hamon and comes with a hand stitched leather sheath. The sheath has been treated with natural beeswax.

The dimensions are:

Blade - 4 1/8th

OAL - 8 3/8ths

The handle looks a lot better than it does in the pics. The wood seems to move when it hits different lights.

Price $135 + $5.00 shipping.

I always let my father preview my knives before they leave the shop. Just a little tradition that I have a hard time breaking. Anyways, He said that this particular one was my best yet. I wasnt able to disagree with him. I really like this knife. I have made a template of the blade for a pattern, so I plan on producing some more in the next few months, not with sapele though, I just happened to pick up some really nice scales at a decent price.
 
Matt that's a nice extra touch having your dad check out your finished knives, gives you second set of eyes and opinion :thumbup:

Can't wait to see the one that's in the mail on it's way to me!

Shawnfu, Matt's amazing to deal with. I saw one of these I liked a couple weeks ago and wrote to him to see if I could order one. He's working on it right now and has indulged every one of my ideas. The one I ordered is a recurved 6" blade with .25" thick 1095 with clay hamon, sharpened swedge, fully filed spine, contoured linen micarta. Get an order in and you won't miss out.

You should click on his username (derkins) and you'll have an option to email him directly to ask him questions.
