Slim, small & lightweight

You have to understand if it is 50 dollars in the US, I have to pay 80 dollars over here.
I understand.

So in my very limited experience Kershaws are overpriced. Probably because they are made in the US instead of Taiwan or China.
That does have everything to do with it.

Dang talk about getting caught between price and Country of Origin. I'm now not sure we can satisfy in either direction.

I don't think you're going to find very many people that share than opinion.

Just found out you actually work for Kershaw.

A lot of people here seem to appreciate their knives being made in the US and seems to me, are willing to fork out the extra cash. Kershaw is mighty popular around here so you're satisfying plenty it seems. ;)

I myself am eye balling the Skyline, seems like a no nonsense knife for a right price.

One of the best light slim knives I can think of is the Benchmade 530. A little over your price range but a great knife nonetheless.

Benchmade mini ambush. Got one for around your price at a sporting goods store annd is amazing. I can open and close it with one hand.

I just bought the Ka-bar Dozier hunter and this is a great knife for $20.--
light, slim, good clip, aus-8, tip-up carry,3" blade and sticks in your hand. I wish I would have also ordered the clip blade as well.

Do you have a picture showing how slim it is?

Boker Trance

I think these both knives meet most/all your criteria. The Trance has a framelock with lots of holes in it on the other side, so it's pretty light.
Its also available in three versions/colours.
I have a Trance myself and the fit and finish is better then on my Kershaw Shallot. Which was twice as expensive by the way.
Also Boker is one of the few manufacturers who understand how to make a good pocket clip.

Another vote for these. I'm surprised there's not more people suggesting these knives.

They do look like good choices but they are a little wide for my needs :o

Then all I can think of is the Kershaw Skyline.
Which has be mentioned before several times. :)

Or maybe a CRKT Drifter?

This is the G10 handle version with a liner lock.
It is also in a stainless steel version available with a frame lock.
It costs under 25 dollars.

As a follow up to my Benchmade 530 recommendation, I thought I'd post a pic.

I can heartily dito this take; I've had one for a while and I have yet to find anything for ~ $60 that is that flat, light, reliable and just plain "not there" unless I need it.

You will not be disappointed with the Benchmade Activator 210TK!

He will be disappointed if he tries to find one - They're all gone. If anyone knows of any, let me know!!!

Edit: Sorry "bout the Font.

and the OP said 2 1/2 to 3". If memory serves both the 530 and AG Featherlite are a tad over 3". Not an issue if in a 3"+ jurisdiction. I'd add Benchmade Mini-Pika in the red class. Blade is under 3" one hand open/close. Price under $50.

I just got my Skyline Damascus in the mail today and it really is the PERFECT fit for this thread. Assuming that the blade actually being 3 1/8" isn't a problem. I am very surprised at how slim and light it is. Closed I would say it's almost identical in size to a Leek but at a fraction of the weight. It is very VERY light!
