Slingshot hunting

I was like the grim reaper to small game when I was younger.

My best friends dad was a mechanic and he would bring us home tons of big ball bearings for ammo. I dropped everything with a slingshot and even fed myself for a few months with one (supplimented with some Chef boyardee) while doing some extremely extended woods trips during my highschool years.

I still have a few slingshots laying around that get used from time to time, though I don't use them for hunting anymore.

I gave mine to an Iraqi kid that I used to send to the market for Pepsi and Marlboros. I'd like to get another one. Any recommendations from the RAT Pack as to which brand/model?

For another literary example (of a slingshot being used offensively and lethally) read the first two of the Gormenghast novels by Mervyn Peake. The simultaneous protagonist/villain employs one at the climax of the novels with great effect.
