Slip joint lube of choice

More often then not I use food grade mineral oil. Just a drop or two off the end of a toothpick. Occasionally I'll use Hoppe's Gun Oil.

For the abused, abandoned knives I pick up, that are just really gritty, and stubborn to get open, I find that a bit of Kano Kroil, will help get the blade open. For general lubrication though, I use whatever's handy like CLP Breakfree, or Lucas's gun oil, that I grow more fond of all of the time. For the blades I feel like Ballistol is as good as anything for corrosion resistance.

I use mineral oil now, though I used 3-in-1 for years.

I remember reading somewhere that, in a pinch, you could use some oil from the side of your nose. I don't anticipate having a need to oil a knife that requires such urgency.

(Mineral Oil Only) I use my knife for apples and food every day. Soap and water and a drop of Mineral oil.

Thanks,
