Just finished this one without an owner.

I call it "Ol Yeller" because of the old yellowing Westinghouse Micarta. At least it was told to me that its Westinghouse. I do know it was yellow on the outside and gets whiter as I grind into it. It will yellow again with time.

Sandvik 19c27 blade and spring .121" thick
Heat treated and cryo'ed by me, rc 60 blade, 47 rc spring
Hollow ground on a 14" wheel
Blade length: 2 15/16"
Closed: 3 3/4"
double pinned bullock shield
pinched and rat tailed 410 bolsters
hand rubbed satin 800 grit finish
easy open blade with snappy half stop and full open
bronze bushing

Please say "I'll Take It" and its yours, priced at $425 delivery included in USA SOLD to Big David
Paypal works best for me

Thanks for looking

Dave,

As the proud owner of #27 I can, unequivocally, guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this one.

Bruce,

Looks like you are still upping your game with each successive slip joint. I love the addition of rat tails and pinching to the bolsters and that Westinghouse micarta is exceptional.

Regards,

Man, am i sad to have missed this one ! My favorite Knifemaker too ! The power was out, just came back on 10 minutes ago.
Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something ?
sadly, roland
p.s. Big Dave, i have BB #007 and i wouldn't trade it for anything, not even a whole bunch of knives by T. Bose. You are getting an ultra fine Folder.

Roland, I'm so glad he's here..... I needed the help? I watch my Website Statistics and I get about 75 views a day average to my front page alone.
That's like 525 views a week? Looking for one of three knives I can make in a week? I just can't keep up with you guys.
You know I started taking orders and will be posting fewer and fewer knives here. And the ones I do post here are being snatched up really fast?
So when I seen Bruce's post here and with his outstanding reputation (Master Smith of top knives & his unreal cut & shoots besides being a super nice guy.) I was like this one will be gone in no time at all?
So Bruce don't say I didn't worn you - when I said welcome to the madness.......:p:rolleyes::D

You just can't ask for a bunch of better collectors of knives than what you will find here on Bladeforums -

.

Thanks guys. I guess it was my lucky day. I'm stoked.

I saw Josh's #27 a while back and was blown away by it. I'll post more photos when I get it.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Big Dave,
Thanks man, I just got home from my usual monday night woodworking group and found it sold to you. Whoo hoo. I got your PM so check yours soon.

Thanks everybody for the kind words too.

Todd, I'm not sure how much help I'm gonna be taking up the slack here. This is the first slip joint I've done that didnt have a name attached before it was finished. I do plan to make as many as possible but in the last year and a half I'm only up to number #28. Pretty pathetic in comparison to your 3 per week.

Congrats Dave. I have no doubts you will be very happy with this knife.

Believe me, we would love to. Those grass shacks look inviting, what a beautiful island. I've heard the rates are affordable now that Japan doesnt have it booked as heavy right now.
Bruce looks like this might be The Knife for you and Kaye to deliver in person !
