The same for me. Thanks John.

I like making them for people, but I never use them myself.
I prefer to use a safety pin to keep my knife vertical in my pocket.

Thank you, my friend. The same for me. Thanks John.
Lol...
I size the slip big enough, and with enough knife sticking out the top that I can pull it out of the slip while the slip stays in my pocket. Enough sticking out that I can grab the butt of the knife, and loose enough that I can pull it out while my middle finger holds the slip down for extraction. I have one slipjoint I keep a lanyard on which makes it *very* easy to get out one handed, but that's a whole other lifestyle choiceI usually carry my knife in my front pocket with my keys and flashlight, so it gets scratched up some. I can’t put it in my other pocket because I have my phone in there. I ordered some slips to use when I carry something nice and dont want to get it scratched up, but honestly I hate it. It is inconvenient to me to pull the slip out of my pocket and remove the knife from it, and then have to find something to do with it while you make your cuts, it just doesn’t feel as natural as just fishing my knife out to cut and drop it back in the pocket. If my knife is small enough I will drop it in my watch pocket to separate it from the scratchy stuff too, but I guess I have accepted that I need to carry a knife I am not concerned about getting scratched up. I just use them and try to not worry about it
