This first one is a 2001 Bone-Stag Trapper..

This next one is a 2001 Jigged Red Bone Trapper..

Both of these knives are Minty fresh and have never been carried or used. I have oiled the joints and blades every so often to provide adequate care. Otherwise they have been kept in my knife chest since I purchased them new (6) years ago. I should have the boxes crated up here somewhere, however, I will have to locate them.. I will let you know.

I am looking for vintage USA Schrade / Uncle Henry: Trapper's, Barlow's, Jack's, ect, ect. in Very Good serviceable condition or better.

Please email me at: veritas_group@bellsouth.net

Thanks,
Anthony

You have a email on the way

Hey guys,
I have a couple slipjoints I'm looking to trade, but not looking for a folding knife in return, more of a traditional boot knife, preferably in a pouch-style sheath (or at least not the kind that only takes the blade and snaps around the handle... I'm not a fan of those...).
The slippies I'd like to part with are a Moore Maker Jumbo Stockman in smooth yellow bone and a USA-made Schrade OT.
Is this an acceptable type of swap for this forum, or should I take it to the Exchange?

Oh, and SunnyD, I think that those are 2002 knives (judging by the tang stamps... they're each missing two dots. 5 x's and 5 dots = 2000, one dot taken away per year, then one x).
;)

.......somebody please correct me if I'm wrong..........

That is correct. 2002 vintage they are indeed. Thanks for noticing, much obliged.

As far as your question in post # 422 about swapping stuff you have for stuff you want is fine. The only real hard and fast rules here are: traditional fixed (sheath knives) & folding knives (slipjoints) trading and no buying or selling (no $$ transactions).

Alright, thanks. :)

So then, anybody interested in either of these, the Moore Maker smooth yellow bone jumbo stockman or the USA-made Schrade 8OT? The MM has the beginning of a nice patina on the main blade, while the other two are just starting to color. The bone is in great shape; it's seen very little pocket time, mostly because I'm just not very fond of the stockman pattern. The OT has nice, dark blades, no rust. Both have nice snap.
Looking for a sheath knife that can be/has been a decent user, not too large (maybe 8 - 9 inches overall), with a carbon steel blade. I like symmetrical blade shapes... Like the Green River Dadley. Although an old drop point wouldn't be bad either. Mainly, I'm looking for something with no guard, or a small one. Even a puukko. Or a trade knife, like the ones Ragnar sells. Anybody?
Thanks!

Edit: would also enjoy a pocket-able Navaja. Have one, but it's a huge monster.

interested in small fixed blades, bark river knives. will add money for the right knife. thanks for your time and Happy New Year. ahgar

got NIB w/papers alox vic soldier, l also I hae a ag russel woodswalker with kydex neck rig, and a brand new mora 510 with a carbon blade looking for carbon slippies primarily canoe and stockman and barlow patterns. Would trade 2 or all 3 for the right knife.

I have a well-used Schrade Improved Muskrat 770T that I'd be willing to trade for US-made carbon steel or D2 folders. I'd be especially interested in Camillus knives, and if you had a #61 Gent's Lockback for trade I'd be your new best friend.

Its snap is a little weak and it has been sharpened, but the blades are full and there's a lot of life left in this knife. There's a rough patch on the back handle. The Schrade Improved Muskrat is my all-time favorite knife, but I already have two of them. I bought them to use, however since real Schrades are a thing of the past they stay in the 'collection' box.

This pic makes it look newer than it is, but it's still a darn good American Schrade.
