Feeler (if that's okay here)

I'd like to trade this Case Tested XX 6233 for something a bit more sentimental.

P1070213.jpg

Made between 1920 and 1946. The scales, under a halogen light have a brownish look. Similar to the pumpkin seed color of soft plastic fishing lures. It leads me to believe it isn't the Rough Black but Green Bone. The pen blade appears to have been clipped but the master blade is 100% in length. I've carried it a few times and stropped it a time or two. It isn't sharp but that's because I'm afraid to use it for more than a worry stone.

I'd like to trade this one for a Case 6208 Half Whittler. Jigged bone. Stainless or CV, doesn't matter really. My Grandfather was loyal to the 6208 so I'd like a user so I can carry on the tradition.

e-mail me at my screen name at gmail .com or PM me here.

Thanks,

I've a new in box 1991 Remington Bullet mini-trapper, the 1178. Jigged Delrin, reddish-brown. It's unused, with the original box, paperwork and even the polyethylene baggie it came in. The knife itself is totally clean and new except minor handling marks on the bolsters from pulling out to oil.

What I'm looking for are the Case large stockman in CV and the Case large Sodbuster in CV. Yellow Delrin is preferred for the Sodbuster (3138), though I'd take black (2138). Yellow also preferred for the stock (3375), though red bone would be fine (6375). Lightly used okay. Failing those, any of the larger Cases in CV- try and keep to 3 5/8" or larger, but I'm open to ideas.

Drop me a line through here, I check the affiliated email daily.

I have two that don't get used, so they're up for you guys to check out.

Top knife in pics is a Rough Rider MOP Congress, that I bought from Bob Tice Knives a while back. No box, this is a user. Pretty nice MOP panels on this one, one side darker than the other, and no chips or cracks. By comparison, Rough Rider's MOP doesn't come close to the fire of Case's MOP, but it's not lifeless on this one, either. Fairly good snap on all blades, but the large spear blade's nail nick is mostly concealed by the small pen blade. A little file work on the kick of the small pen blade will drop it lower, and make the large spear blade more accessible.

The other is a Colt Sowbelly, buffalo horn scales, script scale shield, pinched bolsters & Ti coated blades. Good snap on all blades, and I may still have the box, if it's wanted.

I'm open to most Rough Rider brand knives: Marlin Spike knife, Large Coke Bottle, Big Whittler, Boxcar Whittler, Half-Congress, Doctor, Gunstock, Damascus Lockback, Large Hawkbill, Grandaddy Barlow, Deerslayer, Bartender, etc. Handle materials don't concern me, as these will get used pretty heavily this summer anyway. For the Colt brand, I'm looking for the newer bonestag patterns they're making.

Edited to add: I'm open to other brands as well, if they're comparable to Rough Rider, Steel Warrior, Colt, etc.

Ya'll know the rules. PM or email with offers and/or questions. Thanks!

This Zscherny swayback jack is 3 5/8" closed, features great stag, CPM-154 and is in the same new condition it was in when brought back from the show.

Interested in knives by the likes of Erickson, Rogers, Halfrich, Chamblin, Ruple, Pena, Hampton and other makers of note. Patterns to be considered can be anything from stockman, trappers, eureka jacks as well as other classic single or multi-blades

Shoot me an email or PM to let me know what you may have and we'll take it from there.

USA only, thanks. (No offense intended toward our international members.)

Thanks in advance.

Looking to trade my Great Eastern Cutlery Tidioute EZ Open with burnt orange bone and seial number. My GEC has been carried a few times and used to open a couple pacages. Comes with orginal tube and card. One thing I did notice when I recieved it is when the blade is fully open the back spring is not completely flush. Granted we are only speaking a hair of a difference and is only noticable when you are looking for it and have to run your finger over it a certain way, but I wanted to make sure there was full disclosure.
Would like to trade for a lockback such as a gec or a mountain man, whittler or sowbelly. Traded

It is the knife on the left the barlow shown is not available.
