Thanks for the advice and encouragement everyone it's greatly appreciated. I'm absolutely loving this knife straight from the package! It's by far the smoothest most handsome folder I own. I'll follow up after some use.

Great to see you received your SB knifeneasy! Just wait, it gets even smoother! For sure report back after some time with it. :D

Ya! Congrats OM, how are you liking it so far? I've had mine for a week now and it's the one and only I've been carrying - in the field, to town, whatever - everywhere.

Love it. Gotta' put it on the Edge Pro as the edge is a bit damaged, but it is only the very apex so it shouldn't take much. Not much ricasso, so I'll probably have to rest it on the flats.

Polish the bevel and micro bevel if you like. XHP takes an awesome and easy polish, and looks great on this knife. It also holds that stupid sharp edge a good while.

So I'm curious. Maybe some will think I'm nuts. Ive looked long and hard at The Slysz Bowie. I really dig my Techno. I believe there is a sweet spot in size between the large and small Sebenza. Given the overall and blade lengths, and the radiused handle scales, of the Bowie I think this might be it. To my eye its visually more interesting than many of the Ti frame locks out there.

But.

I cant get past the going no where, milled "H" pocket clip slots and screw on the show side handle scale. It was not part of Marcin Slysz original and pics on the web of that prototype show a much cleaner looking design. This is not a knife for left handers. How many right handers will carry this in their left pocket? Take it away and the lanyard hole now looks like it belongs instead of is about to break through into the pocket clip slot... Take it away, who do you disappoint? how many sales lost? How many sales gained? It is a cost reduction. Why not?

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I could live without the lanyard hole or the left hand clip slots, but it wouldn't keep me from buying it. I already have a large sebenza c.f. or I would probably own a slyz bowie. It looks to be a great knife I like the sebenza because it can be refurbished, but it does cost more money.

I am glad Spyderco made the clip reversible, as I may very well carry the SB in my left fp at times when I want it to be my "polite" carry opposite of something less so, such as my Police 3 or Medford Viper. I carry my iPhone in my LFP and the SB is very similar in thickness, making it idea for that pocket.

I suppose I should add some pics, seeing as how it's pretty much my favorite pocket knife ever!

In its home state, partway up Pike's Peak:

I needed a trainer for it of course...

Helping cut up breakfast for my parrot with that incredibly well ground blade.
