Small Axe holster

I'm super excited, I just came across our old hatchet two days ago. It's certainly nothing fancy with its yellow fiberglass handle, but it's got plenty of family history.

Is it odd to get happy when you find something in your kit that needs sheathed? :)

Od, I never would have guessed that you designed that around not knowing how to stitch. It looks great! If you're anything like me you'll adore hand sewing. I can't compete with some of the others that have stitched literal miles, but it's never not been fun and rewarding.

That's a classy looking rig there sir, and glad to be of help when I can.

Nice looking flow of the leather, compliments the whole setup, I bet he was thrilled !

Elder, have you tried sharpening on a belt sander/grinder? Care must be taken to not destroy the temper, but my little 1x30 has become my favorite sharpening device (over the diamond "stones", edge pro and stones) for everything from a high end custom santoku to the cheap steak knives to the axes and wood carving knives. I'd still like to try the KO Work Sharp and paper wheels, but the little belt grinders work very well with practice.

The fellow that I made the edge guard talked about his today, said he showed his mom how it worked, she was impressed but then also a little worried about her son...WHAT does he plan on doing with THAT !!!??? ;) go figure right?
