Though it would have been out by now. Great design, but way to thick for my taste on the first.
Would make a great knife at .140 or .150, with no choil:thumbup:

BTW-while were at it, we may as well go ahead and ask for a .187 Boss Jack:thumbup:

I would totally get a couple of each!!

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully we see this come out soon.

I've wanted this since the first one came out!

I'm in:cool:

BOSS Street:
-0.14" to 0.17" thick stock
-Zero edge
-No Choil
-DCBB
-Black Canvas
--Possibly also have the pommel ground down flush with the scales

This would replace the BAD in the kitchen. A bit longer blade would be excellent!

I'm all over this with the exception of the no choil part. Me likey the usable choil, and if it were just like the choil on that custom BS with the Blk/Tan G-10 that was at the AG Russell Show, that would be perfect! Of course, a no choil version allows for one to be ground in, so I'm IN! ;) :D

Hammy, can we get this thing stickied? :D

Amy?

Progunner?

...somebody? :p

+1.

This thread better not die. I dont post much, but for this I will make an exception. I orginally bought a Boss Street because I thought it would make the perfect survival knife (and it was), it was small enough to take anywhere, strong (read: thick) enough to handle any kind of abuse, and had a flawless design. Except for the choil. It serves no purpose but as a weak point when lateral pressure is applied to the blade. It also helps to keep the blade half a mile away from your hand (and therfore reducing levereage and cutting control/precision. Of course, for the idiots and wannabe's who cant sharpen a knife and repeatedly bang their sharpening medium into the handle, producing cosmetic damage (thats all... micarta is tough!), the choil does help to prevent that). And if you are cooking over a fire with a pot with a kind of "wire" handle, and it gets too hot, you can always use the choil to hook the handle and lift it out of the fire. Of course, you dont have to put the pot directly into the fire to begin with, anyway. The final purpose I see for the choil is that it makes it LOOK like a Busse. Which is fine if you want a safe-queen.

For a user, I say remove that useless choil. Unless you arent smart enough to figure out how to sharpen a knife, in which case I would see your need to have the choil there. Of course, in that case, you probably shouldn't even have a knife.

Just my 2c.
