There's a lot of interest in the Techno. I have one on my desk right now, and it's a favorite.
However, don't get the idea that it's going to be a great slicer. Some folks will talk about the "thickness behind the edge" and that's obviously correct, or Krein's regrinds wouldn't be so famous.
But, let's look at the numbers...the blade thickness of these two full-flat grinds.
Spydero Delica 4 Full-Flat Ground has a spine thickness of 0.094".
The Techno has a thickness of 0.177"...almost twice as thick as the Delica.
Which one is known to be a slicer?
Of course, the Techno is great blade for heavy-duty potential (in a short blade). After all, the Techno is ALMOST as thick as the Strider SMF...which is 0.190" and is known to be a sharpened pry-bar...of sorts. It just depends on what you're trying to do.
(Yes, I like Strider and love my SMF.)
