small fighter

I like the Emerson made lagriffe a lot as well. I haven't handled a Perrin made one though. On the larger end of small fighters the Spyderco/Perrin fixed blade is very nice though somewhat tough to find now. I also like the Polkowski designs a lot, with Bob Kasper and otherwise. I am very interested in the potential of karambits as small fighters but so far have found a fixed blade I like that I can afford. There are a number of small knives made by Bud Nealy that aI would consider excellent fighters as well, though there are some compromises for ease of carry IMO.

I may be alone on this one, but with a bit of reprofiling i like the the TOPS Interceptor.

I like the BM Nimravus for small... there are smaller, smaller, and larger....

this could be broadened to include categories:

1-2 "

2-3"
3-4" etc...

I'll have to echo recommendations on the Shivworks clinch pick and EKI La Griffe. Both very discreet but effective items.

I carry both sometimes.

This is my last try to post a pic.
Here are a couple of small ones but I would rather fight with a big one!
You post pics about as good as I do.
Maybe we should buy a camera. :D

I like the big fighters also, not much help in this thread.:foot:

I like the Gerber Yari for a smell fb fighter. Having said that, If I'm defending my life with a 4" knife many very bad things have already happened, and I'm in that "need to fight because I'm too old and slow to leave mode."

I can recommend the Spyderco Perrin Bowie, too. The Benchmade Nimravus 145 is also a good choice. Another decent fighter is the Al Mar Sere Operator, but I'd strongly advise to tape the prylon handle, which is too slick, especialy if your hands are wet.

My personal favorite however is an unusual one: Linder Super Edge 3.

5" Bowie Blade, ATS 34, strong tip, great ergonomics (the best of the above mentioned knives). It isn't much of an utility knife, but a first class fighter.

I was just going to suggest the Gerber Yari when I noticed your post. It's a DAMN SHAME that Gerber saw fit to DC this fine knife a few years ago...I've had 3 of 'em, and the Yari WOULD be an excellent small "fixed-blade fighter".

The very best small fighter:
