Small Fixed Blade Suggestions (for horizontal carry)

Check out Becker, specifically the BK24, 12, and 11 models.

The BK-11 has a unique handle design which, according to what I have been told ... by others, you understand, can be used to open beer bottles; from what i have been told, of course!

Swamp Rat Rodent 3. It's perfect for what you're describing. I had one I carried horizontally small of back. I sold it, but the only reason I did was that the handle was just a bit small for me.

I intend on trying a Rodent 4 in the same type of carry configuration.

Esee Izula 2 or LT Wright Great Plainsman.

thanks again for all the suggestions. I decided to go with the ESEE Candiru with a custom horizontal sheath being made. I'm a commercial driver and its just going to be a work knife.

The Candiru is being offered at a deep discount on XXXXXX. They're the same sellers XXXXXX

Guess you have to search but it's there.

Ordered one yesterday, received today. Real, comes with sheathed and the belt clip. Nice. The Azula didn't come with a clip. Really like Estee for its simplicity in design. Thing of beauty.

I'm happy.

Excellent - we would love to see pics of your set-up once complete..

The Candiru is being listed for a total measly price of $(deleted)
Pretty sure they have limited quantity are on doing deep discount to raise online visibility, especially on $#^€&.

Please don't state pricing and source for a non-supporting member. That is deal spotting by definition and you can gain an infraction for it.

I would suggest you edit your post to remove the offending comments and send it via visitors message or email.

The Candiru arrived along with the Boltaron sheaths made by Survival Sheath Systems, Robert Humelbaugh. I ordered a taco sheath from him but he also built and sent a symmetrical. I like them both.

In my search for a small horizontal carry fixed blade, I also picked up a nice Bradford Guardian3 and a SOG Snarl. I'm pretty set for now...thanks again for all the suggestions.

That is a seriously cool looking blade John!! Love the sheath bro! Nice little set up right there!
Congrats and enjoy!

PS....you were so right about Brad at Guardian! He hooked me up big time! It arrives tomorrow!
Jacked!!

For all-purpose knives, I like a good sheepsfoot. Boker Gnome and Rhino are good options. Cold Steel Pendleton Hunter in 3V comes in cheap and at a high quality as well if a skinner blade works for you. CRKT has a number of offerings in that size range and so does Real Steel. You might even look into the Spyderco ARK, but I feel like the blade profile isn't great for EDC.

I bought this Fiddleback Forge Bushraptor specifically for EDC.
Having a leather belt sheath made for horizontal cross draw as we speak.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it all works out!
