Small Fixed Blade Suggestions (for horizontal carry)

I bought this Fiddleback Forge Bushraptor specifically for EDC.
Having a leather belt sheath made for horizontal cross draw as we speak.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it all works out!

Since nobody posted pic of Becker Necker BK-11. Here is the winner, IMHO.

Add the micarta handle scales. You won't believe the difference it makes.

The azwelke.com made kydex sheath can be fixed scout carry with a loop of leather or small tec-lok (if you want custom sheath).

I recently bought a Freeman Outdoor gear neck knife, (2.6" Neck knife (6.1" OAL) with kydex sheath and adjustable lanyard.)
It is working out well for me, I just carry it in my pocket.

Otter 25. You would need to get a custom horizontal sheath. It only comes with a hanger.

3.25" Handle

Going to be tough to best the little VG-10 Moran knife. Easy to pack around with you and sharp as can be when you need it. Does double duty in the kitchen as well. Good stuff!

I've made a few that would fit the roll.

Just out of your size window at 7 5/8 OAL, but I really like my S-tac (JA Baker), This one's not mine, but sweet!
