Esee Izula seems nice. A smaller Esee would be the Candiru. Tops has some smaller stuff. I personally love my Raker Apprentice Lil Jon Knife. Lots of good choices out there.

Spyderco Street Beat is a small, high quality fixed blade perfect for a variety of uses. Fits in the pocket or on the belt in a number of different positions.

VG-10 steel.

Sweet knife!

I believe I got this custom for under $100...7.5"OAL W/3.5" blade. Thin, light, & beautiful. It's tough for me to carry production fixed blades anymore, now that I'm a member of the custom fixed fan club here on Bladeforums.

My Bradford Guardian 3 is on me at all times. It's just an amazing EDC fixed blade with superior steel (3V, M390).

Kabar Becker BK-14 with handles and perhaps a custom sheath if you like the knife.

My latest small knife is a Condor Two Rivers Skinner (4.3" blade and leather belt sheath). I like it and the price is about $40. I have just started to play around with this knife, but I like it and it certainly isn't mentioned here except by me. I don't think anyone else owns one. :D

I think you would feel equally at home field dressing an animal, cutting wood, or using it in the kitchen.

Save up a few more bucks and get an ESEE Izula II.
Look up some reviews, it's an excellent value.

Oh that esee looks amazing i may be able to fork over the 70$ Maybe eat top ramen for a few days

Seems like ether the bk's or the esee's for the price im looking for. Worth the extra 30$ for the esee?

It's only worth the added $ if you prefer the aesthetics. But damnit young man, just fast for a week & grab a custom EDC from the Fixed Blade Exchange here on BF.

Depends upon whether you want the micarta scales...the Izula II comes with the scales and a little better sheath system (make sure you get one with the clip) and I believe the scales are additional on the Beckers. You can always wrap the handle with cord but then you may want to compare the Beckers with the Izula I (does not come with scales) which is about the same price since it does not include scales.

I personally prefer the scales but a good cord wrap is perfectly servicable and replaceable if you get it really nasty.

This is always a good option but you may want to make sure a small fixed blade is what you want to EDC. I ended up upgrading to an EK&T Companion a few months ago and it is a really nice option that is available for around $90 when he makes a run. They host a forum on this site.
