I’m out, boys. Got the UTX-85 and didn’t agree with my hand at all. Once it was open it was alright, but too “fiddly” for big hands to actuate. I knew I’d end up constantly dropping it just trying to get it open. Traded it that very day for an Ultratech.

Guess I’m just a big blade guy at heart, and I’m ok with that. Know thyself and all that whatnot.
👌

I haven't done very well with this challenge. I always carry a traditional slipjoint that meets the criteria, but this morning I pulled my Spyderco Police in K390 to open a package of diapers. Didn't even think about it, just tugged on the handle and my zip-tie wave mods flicked it open.
Darn your hide 😁 just for grins I googled diaper knife, I often use off the wall search terms to see what I get. Well you did it. No diaper knife but this little cutie popped up. CIVIVI Baby Banter Black Stonewashed Nitro-V Purple liner lock folding knife. I'll have in on Saturday. This is even a better emergency steak knife.

Actually there is a fixed blade knife you might like. Ever heard of the Puuko it has a blade 2 to 3 inches, and the larger Leuku about 8 inches these are the 2 knives used by the Sami people in Finland.

Still in.. switched to the Enzo 70 in 12c27, black Micarta handle. Small 21, SAK Spartan, and Buck 303 charcoal grey wood handle.
The small traditional gets changed daily.

Sporting the old Case 3318 for the past two days

My fixed blade and modern folder have been "over size"; but the Case has successfully handled all the cutting tasks.

The Baby Banter is a fine small knife. So smooth.

20+ years with a Classic SD every day. Ladybug K390 for the contest. Should be no problem, since I only carry a bigger 3" plus blade when I go into Baton Rouge. Lol

Buncha damn enablers, the lot of ya.

I didn't have any sub 3" knives i found would work for my EDC needs during my busy season, so I picked up this Hera Mini today. Specs list it at 3" of blade, but cutting edge is more like 2.8-ish. Let's see how the month goes...

Weelllllll --- no one said you had to spend [that] much 😜

Okay, so we're supposed to document all use of blades over 3" unless said use is for cooking, outdoor activities, or defeating the Tatars. Therefore, I must confess another transgression:

Hear me out, a washcloth fell into the abyss behind the washing machine:

Note that thing that looks like a grabber is actually some overpriced organic swiffer- thing that doesn't work. The 1796 Light Cavalry Sabre was my only hope.

It's not stupid if it works.

But, to bring balance, I did use this little number to open up and install a new car seat. So there's that.
