Small knife that can double as a tie clip?

There are some ink pens with blades made in them that wouldn't turn any heads. Not a tie clip I know, but does have a blade hidden in plain sight.

I’d say get used to it or find a new job. If you get caught with it, they aren’t going to say “oh you sly fox! You circumvented our security screening! You win!” It would be “pack your bags and don’t ask us to be a reference” right as two men walk you to the door with a single cardboard box of your belongings. Unless your name is Jason Bourne, you’re not going to stop an active shooter with a small tieclip knife, and would do better grabbing a chair or fire extinguisher.. or even scissors… so why feel “naked”?

Rike Hummingbird would probably not be confused with a weapon.

I feel completely helpless and naked
Tiny knife is just enough "weapon " to get you fired without being much good for SD .

Learn to use a cane or some other non-weapon for SD , that you can take with you almost anywhere .

Learn to fight unarmed , if possible . Become a weapon ! 🥷

Then you don't have to be "completely helpless" , even naked . ;)

What disciplines should I practice to become a weapon? Is Tai chi good enough?

You can't go into government buildings with knives (Court houses, U.S. Mints, any Smithsonian museum, etc.) and are checked at the entrances. You have to empty your pockets, open the bags, and walk through metal detectors. I was stopped at a Smithsonian for carrying a 2 AA flashlight. I forgot to take it out of its belt holder. They thought it had crenelations on it and were going to confiscate it as a weapon.

Would not try sneaking a knife through security because you are only asking for trouble.

Spyderco Cricket, may be an unconventional shape, but it is very useful. Stainless framelock. 58mm SAK in your wallet or shoe. If you want like an escape tool, you could keep a razorblade in your shoe, make an incision or lift the sole, or behind the stitching somewhere on a pants branding, or carry a Spyderco Bug in your actual wallet pockets.
Are they theft checks, to see what ya came in with, or weapon checks? I am guessing you know the deal if at a fed building.

I would imagine it is feeling weird without a small cutting tool
