Small Knives....let's hear your views !

This one was made by Edgar Chattin, a friend we rendezvous with, it has had a lot of carry time and has to be my favorite.

Recently I’ve taken to wearing this one made by a buddy Steven Knight who lives up in Punta Gourda FL.

I bought four blades from a maker at the Rendezvous last January and put this one together. It hasn’t seen a whole lot of use yet but it’s catching up, a very nicely heat treated 1095 :)

Another one of these blades I put together for my wife.

Here are some smaller knives I have been making. I really like the feel of these despite there size. 6" overall on the little guys.

Wow, so many great lil guys in this thread! Brian Goode, your knives have definitely caught my eye

And DRMUDD, I am green with envy!! I've been wanting to see a pic of all three side by side, awesome! Now I really can't resist getting a bumblebee... :)

I love this blade! Excellent! My ideal EDC fixed blade:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
How long it is overall? How thick it is?

This one is a small knife. 6" or maybe 5" overall on that one. It was a thick spine on purpose knife out of 3/16" stock.

OK, got photobucket now and I am going to try this out

My small collection of FB's. Some mine, some production and some other makers. Some WELL used:D:D:D

This thread is making me drool. I think that small (EDC) fixed blades are my favourite type of knife.

Here are a few from my collection.

This is my EDC fixed blade.

This is a knife I finished last weekend. Like my EDC blade, it is based on a Cobbler's blade from Ragnar. It hasn't seen any use yet, and the patina still has a few steps to go.

I based this patch knife on a Green River blade. Brilliant little slicer. I haven't had the opportunity to use it much, as I am committed to using three knives until November, but I'm sure it will turn out to be the scourge of vegetables in the kitchen.

And here's a good ol' Becker Necker.

All the best,

Great looking user knives you make :)

Thanks! I would reply in kind, but it goes without saying. Your knives are a real inspiration. That thick little EDC that Tree Herder V mentioned is particularly awesome.

All the best,

- Mike

it realy does well on multiflower rose bushes that litter the trails around here for the outcroppings anyway don't want to get to close to those bastids they will sherd you and yur cloths

Well, I know it's not as fancy as most of the ones here...but I really do like working with this little Bushlore by Rick Marchand...when she'll let me. This one was a prototype...I guess I'll have to get him to make me one with some kind of purty wood handle.

I like the curved handle in this size..

I like the Dozier Canoe model a lot. It is the only one I need, but that certainly won't stop me from getting other small fixed blades.
