Yeah, it's always good to READ the dimensions before buying online. I've made that mistake before.
Well, I did "read" the tape measure in the photos but had an age related brain burp.

Whatever . . .what I am comfortable with is a Buck 110 size knife . . .a Large Sebenza 31 sized knife. The thumb stud has to fall under my thumb, but this really fine knife drowns in my palm.

I just picked this little fella up as my walking around knife for the summer. Most of the time, I don't really need much in terms of a knife when I'm on a heavily traveled trail, and after a slight abdominal tear I'm not carrying anything overly large or heavy for a good while ;)

I don't usually gravitate toward smaller knives, but after the small knife challenge last year, I see a place for them. This little Para 3 kinda checks off all the boxes: Lightweight (or at least lighter than a full titanium frame or monster folder) yet robust. It has a practical blade shape and size around 3", and it sports my favorite steel. I'm really excited to see how this Crucarta combo patinas. Between the handle picking up oil and whatever and the Cruwear developing some splotches, it's going to look very unique within just a bit of time. This is also my first compression lock, and so far, I really dig the design.

The Crucarta PM3 is one of my favorite knives. I love how both the handle I the blade age well in time. I'm not 100% on the compression lock unfortunately. I mean it's okay, I'm like 75% liking it. There's just something about it I don't like. I'd love to have a PM3 with a plain old mid-lock, Boye dent.

I've been handling it non-stop and cutting some lemons up with it. The character is coming out already. I just bought it today.

As far as the compression lock goes, my biggest issue has been remembering that the lock is on the spine and near the pivot. So far, I do like it. The walk and talk of the blade rotating up and then tinking as it locks open is very satisfying.

Nothing wrong with the Boye dent though. Solid and reliable for sure.

It was fun catching up on this thread. Some fun stuff here. I'll post a few from older shots over time and keep it in mind for future posts.

The Dragonfly has been mentioned and it's truly an EDC MVP for me. I have a bunch with some living permanently in jacket pockets. It's often a secondary or tertiary carry for me but sometimes primary. Here is one wearing Flytanium with a rare sweet indulgence from last week.

For a smaller fixed blade, I was carrying this JackTar in MagnaCut from Picaroon Tools today. This is an older pic that hopefully better shows its size. It is fairly ergonomic for what it is and a handy little blade.

A couple of great little folders from WE and Civivi are the Smooth Sentinel (top) and the Bo (bottom). The Smooth Sentinel is roughly the same size as the Civivi Elementum. The Bo is sort of the next size down. Both have thin blades that slice wonderfully. I really wish more modern folders took it down to that 2.5mm blade thickness.

Of course, the Bo looks huge next to that tiny fixed blade from TwoSun. It's surprisingly handy and ergonomic for what it is.

Love that little Two Sun.

BTW, I was just using that little TwoSun. It's a great knife for it's ludicrously tiny size and one-finger grip. Unlike most TwoSuns, they actually went with a thin blade here and it cuts beautifully. I actually only bought it because I wanted a knife in their new spray-form steel and it was the only design I didn't hate. Now I'm really glad that I did!
