small poly 9mm for CCW

the taurus millenium PT111 is about the same thing as the keltec P11 and is imho a little better pistol, i have had both FWIW.

why? a little better trigger, a little better/more rugged finish is about it.

IIRC my PT111 was aslo a little cheaper too.

they are both ok, fairly accurate, pretty reliable, ok trigger, fairly compact and easy to carry, i wasnt crazy about the trigger on either one of them, or the sites, but as i said they are "ok" especially for the $$ i suppose.

a bud borrowed the PT111, he was going on a trip, had it in a gym bag with some clothes, he got into an arguement with his girlfriend, took her home, and when he got home he threw the bag (forgot about the PT111)on the concrete floor in a "fit" lol, anyway PT111 comes out, whizzes acrosss the floor scuffing the crap outta it and breaking the rear site off, he bought it from me lol, taught me if nothing else they werent "jeff" proof, but then nothing is, he has also broken a glock 33 & taurus 92C also, sites on both of them somehow or another lol.

Well I found a range that had a Kahr P9 & shot it - I have NEVER shot a gun so accurately right off the bat! Put 100 rounds through w/o fail & decided I gotta have one. The guys working the range weren't fans but noted that people fit different guns differently, & hey you get what you can shoot well, so I'm getting one. Now I just have to deci=de between the P9 or TP9 (3.5" vs 4" barrel).

TP-9 has a longer butt which gives you an extra round.

If the added lenght in slide and butt don't matter to you, then you'd probably shoot it better than the P-9

like i said, great pistols............

i have a P9 and a PM9 and prefer the P9 for shooting and the PM9 for edc but either one can fill either role just fine, either get both or if i could just have one i would get the P9, i suppose, maybe, lol, i really do like both of 'em, no doubt my favorite carry pistols.

Recently bought my wife a Kahr PM9 for edc. She loves it. It hasn't had a malfunction yet and handles very well for a small gun. I like it so much that I plan on getting one when I save the $$$. One thing to remember about edc if the gun is too big, hard to hide, or uncomfortable it is likely to get left at home.

imho if ya are serious about packing a pistol the poly kahrs are as easy to live with as anything in a serious calibre, if ya can live with a walther PPk ya can live with a PM9.

ya can kinda get by with a PM9 while if ya wanna carry a larger pistol like a 1911, or a SIG P220/P225/P226 ya have to really start thinking about what clothes to wear and stuff like that, an easy pistol top live with imho, and it can really get hard in the summer when ya gotta wear lite clothes around here.

fixing to be cooler weather around here (well maybe anyway lol) and thats when i carry something larger, sometimes, really just for grins, like a glock 32C or 19, which are really pretty easy to deal with too, better than most, but do require a little more dedication on the carriers part to properly conceal and such, i also mostly carry the kahr P9 vs the PM9 in the winter when i am wearing a coat or heavier clothes, with a good belt and a good IWB sheath i often forget its there.
