Well stated Mark.............................:thumbup :thumbup: :D:D:D

Plus 1 :thumbup::thumbup:

Not to beat a dead horse but if it not broken don't screw with it :thumbup::thumbup:

when you take some tension out of the lock bar the parts will deflect less and the lock up can still be solid.

Personally i like a deep lock up...my point in this thread is that if it really bothers someone...it's a simple fix.

Folks worry needlessly about this...its not an issue unless the lock sticks. IMO.

I have made these adjustments many times for many years...I'm speaking from hands on experience. :)

+1 :thumbup:
Been there done that, not sure why people make more of this than it is.

CRK will make the same type of adjustment you can do yourself, they would just rather do it then chance you introducing any blade play.

Take things slow and easy and check for blade play after each extension of the lock bar. It takes longer to box the knife up for shipping than to make the adjustment. ;)

My 1st Crk...my zaan came at 90% didnt think a thing about it. Its like a

Fixed Blade and I like it that way.My tanto zaan came at 75%.I wish it

had more lockup!!

If it bothers you that much sent it to CRK!!

I don't understand. Why pay extra for a frame lock, only to have a little bit of the lock engage the blade?

Just purchased my first CRK, a 97 vintage Sebenza. The lock engages much as the knife in the first post, 75-80%. I'm not the least bit concerned or worried, it's solid as a rock and under normal use not likely to wear out in my lifetime.

thanks for this topic! :thumbup:

My sebenza is @ 80% lock-up and i was a little bit worried (no blade play so why the worries eh? :rolleyes:). But thanks to this topic i`m 1005 sure now that its no problem!

+1.
