I do prefer the other colours of corian that you've been using. That salt and pepper is especially nice. However, I've been looking long and hard at this one lately. I don't have anything like it. Perhaps I've just been conservative. This is really growing on me. I'm going to mull it over for a few days.

Regarding your sheaths, I think they are well-designed for outdoors use. I find that pouches provide user-friendly retention. It looks like the lower ride would provide easy access to the blade. The tooling is a subtle detail that doesn't distract from your distinctive handles, and I think that is very important. From what I've seen so far, it's your handles that really sets you apart from the crowd. It seems to me like they are something of a trademark.

I'm a little conservative when it comes to EDC. Even though Canadian carry laws are very relaxed when it comes to fixed blades, I like to be discrete. Therefore I prefer high-ride sheaths that keep more of the knife up and out of sight. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think they make knives look smaller and less threatening. For me, that's important.

I think kydex and concealex are great materials, particularly when paired with Tek-Lock clips. I do prefer leather for knives with wood or horn handles. But I think it is very appropriate to match synthetic handles to synthetic sheaths. I'd really like to see you try a concealex sheath for your EDC model.

I'm very interested in your work. I think you're doing some interesting things.

Thanks Hondo, I really appreciate your feedback. I understand what you mean about the matching materials thing, I will have to give it a try. I just really like leather. One thing about my sheath that is different from many, is the bees wax treatment I give to them. It makes the sheath very cut resistant and if you leave the knife in the sheath for a good long period of time, it will not hold any moisture as it is 100% saturated with wax. Unless of course you fill the sheath with water, then you have strange looking cup in your hand.:D
I carry this style with me every day, and I have found it to be light, comfortable and very much out of sight. Also another little thing about the sheath is if it gets scratched up all that is neede to repair it is place in front of some source of radiant heat and let the wax surface, then wipe clean with a soft cloth. My thoughts on the whole thing are probably biased :D since I made it.

Thanks again
Nick:)

I'd like to run this one down, one more time.

Thanks for looking
