Took a nice little walk in Ojibway Prairie this morning. As you can see just teetering on a touch of frost. There was very light frost at about 8:00 am.

But the sun was shining and it soon turned into this

Beta and max love this stuff and they were as happy as two pups could be

I did sit down to take a few knife shots. Well, yes, I was way over-knifed for silly little walk. But then again, part of going for the walk was to take some pics of knives in trees :D

Here is the peacemaker and kat knife

Love those wild concord grapes!

Have a great weekend all!

Very cool.

Love that first pair of knives. I laughed out loud at your 5 knives. I do the same thing. For some reason I have a hard time narrowing down my choices so I usually carry too many. LOL

Well the sad thing is - I had an opinel #8 tucked in the strap pocket of my pack, a SAK camper and surgical scalpel in my PSK also. So I guess I didn't really empty my pack. Then again I knew I was bringing a bunch of fixed blades just to take a few pictures.

Those osage handles are lookin really good there!! I love how that wood ages!

No such thing as over knifed:D

Great photos, thanks for sharing:thumbup:

awesome pics man...

that is a nice selection of knives you got there....:D i still would love to pick up one of those KAT knives, like yours...:o

You know kgd, your modded KAT inspired me to get one just like it. It came two weeks ago on a Friday and I lost it Saturday morning. The only thing I cut was some junk mail that came at the same time. Seeing these photos makes me REALLY want to re-order ASAP.

The patina on those Breeden's look amazing. They look too even to be natural, did you do it yourself or did they come that way. Awesome knives.

Those pups look well loved.........and so do those knives!

"Beta" and "Max", cute ;)

Just don't name anything "VHS" please (well, perhaps a V H and S triplet of gerbils).

Great pics of nature, looking forward to getting out and seeing the colors myself :)

Man that is an absolute tragedy :( I hope it turns up. Thanks for the comments folks. Pics were taken on a Nikon D50.

The patina on the pathfinder was originally forced by vinegar and has since lightened up with usage. The patina on the peacemaker is natural and derived mainly from using it in the kitchen. I do try to slice with the entire blade when cutting into things like tomatoes just to keep the whole blade treated.

Beta came first (it was our first dog - the beta version), max was adopted at the pound as a yearling and that was his original name from the previous owner. So betamax was a bit of a fluke. ;)

Great pics thanks for sharing......you can't go wrong with a Breeden Knife....seriously, if this is your first time seeing some of his knives you really need to check him out, great guy, great knives. If only had money to buy one it would be one of his. Former Marine, and all made in the USA. In all seriousness, if you want one they go fast, and my guess is Bryan will be getting a lot of orders soon for Christmas......hopefully one will be for me: honey, darlin', dearest wife if you stumble across this post, here's my hint for Christmas.

Nice knives and great pics:thumbup:

Where abouts in Ontario are you??? We had frost the other morning...ah, love that autumn air, you can't beat it.

Thanks for sharing

Hello Craig - I'm waaay down south in Windsor. Though I have lots of family up in Thunder Bay. Can't wait until I do the knees on the 'Giant' again (its been about 10 years since). Have a great weekend man!

What's the top knife in the picture with "all" the knives? That has a beautiful wood handle, looks very comfortable, and a good blade design too.

The top one is a Jeff Diotte, 4" blade of 440C, .25". Admittedly a prybar - but also the most comfortable handle I've ever laid a hand on. Jeff had a table at the St. Thomas show last week, but unfortunately no knives with him. He did have some really cool damascus rings though and lots of knife-making supplies. Jeff is a really interesting dude...

I tell you what.....I get to handle a whole lot of Breeden knives :D

Before I ever got a hold of any, I liked the KAT knife. There was one that Bryan sent to me, with a 3.5" blade. The magic about this one is it had a slightly shorter handle. I believe it was 4 1/8" versus the typical 4.5". With the shorter blade, the shorter handle was just magic. It was one nice EDC blade, if you ask me.

I tagged it as "mine" but somebody bought it  I thought I was going to cry. I hope the new owner posts some pics of it. I think I am going to have to have Bryan make up one for me.

Nice pics of your hike kgd. That rat looks awful nice without any coating on it.

Those grapes really bring back memories or growing up

Personally, I don't think you carry enough knives while hiking :D
