Smallest knife that will do you...

So I see tons of large knives and folders being carried as an EDC. Step away from what you currently carry and let us know a knife you may have or have had that will accomplish everything you need in the smallest package possible. You may not like the knife, blade shape...etc. But it will get done what you need on a daily basis.

I usually carry a Mini Ritter. On the smaller side, a Curtiss Nano or even a Kershaw Baby Boa could take care of my EDC needs.

Ladybug. Carrying it alongside another knife today, but I've carried only the Ladybug too and it's enough for many chores.

I think the smallest knife that would be practical would be a case peanut. Anything smaller would be hard to manipulate imo.

Case baby butterbean or gerber STL 2.0

I kept a Gerber STL 2.0 on my key ring and it got constant use until I headed to the airport and it didn't make it through the process.

Leatherman Squirt PS4 (although I'd prefer to have my Victorinox Super Tinker)

For years and years my sak was all that was necessary to get edc tasks done... though I never really considered it as a self-defense option. Of course, my tastes have evolved; that being so, I still use it all the time (officer model), and I was thinking of picking up the one-handed opening and locking sak trekker...

small sodbuster - fits my wallet pocket in its slip pouch - where the wallet goes the knife does too...

Small Sebenza, but I have been thinking about trying out a Ritter mini grip. I would hate to loose the Sebenza, and I think I could handle loosing a Ritter mini grip.

i carry a gun daily, so self defense doesnt have anything to do with my decision...the SAK Farmer

I used to carry a Buck 301 stockman. After 25 years I went down to a Buck 303 cadet. Then I went down to a Case peanut, and that's where I'm still at. The Case peanut and the SAK classic on my keyring does everything I really need. If I go fishing or camping, a larger knife will augment my edc pocket carry, but not replace it. A larger SAK and a 4 inch sheath knife get added depending on weekend activities.

I've got too much other stuff cmpeting for pocket space to take up room with a knife that's bigger than what I really need.

Carl.

I.... Then I went down to a Case peanut, and that's where I'm still at. The Case peanut and the SAK classic on my keyring does everything I really need.

I went from Case Peanut to Vic Classic. I love the peanut, it's a beautiful knife....but scissors, nailfile, screwdriver, toothpick, tweezers, and a blade!?! That's too complete a package for me not to carry. Still, nowhere near as pretty as the Case.

Some days.

going a little bigger here. Something like an Izula with about a 2.5" fixed blade is small enough to go anywhere in the pocket and large enough to do just about anything you'd ever need a knife to do in and EDC. Wouldn't want to dress and elk with one but I am quite confident that you could. Would want something bigger to build a shelter with...but the Izula would work...etc. Of course neither of these would be considered EDC tasks...so bonus.
