Smallest knife that will do you...

Nice knife ;)

The smallest I used to carry was a CRKT Shrimp which is really all I ever "need" but the current smallest knife that I actually do carry is a Mike Snody Economist friction folder. I do have smaller folders but this one gets the most pocket time.

For years my EDC was a Spyderco Co-Pilot.

But then some judge decided to reinterpret the UK knife laws, effectively outlawing this and any other locking folder as an EDC.

So now I'm thinking of getting a Boker Plus XS for EDC.

Because that's legal. Doesn't make any sense at all does it?!

that will accomplish everything you need in the smallest package possible

Strictly speaking I would pick my Benchmade 913 Stryker. I have carried a Benchmade mini-grip and it managed to cut what I needed to cut. I don't recall having any problems with it but I prefer a larger handle to be able to hold onto it better and control it better when I need to put more force into it, which is why I picked a larger knife that would accomplish EVERYTHING that I needed. To actually cut what I needed to cut the mini-grip could be made to work, or something smaller like the Kershaw Cryo. I've been wondering if I could get by with a Spyderco Sage. I really like the Kershaw Leek but the handle is too thin to be practical for me. Also I have purchased a ladybug that is on the way to me and I am interested to see how it works for me at least as a backup blade.

Carried an old PE ladybug for years. With a wad of keys in your hand to serve as a pesudo handle, it has worked quite well.

I have a Spyderco Ladybug and Leatherman PS4 Squirt on my keychain at all times. I carry those every where, even to court (have to leave them in the car) and airport (put them in check in bag).

I additionally carry a pocket blade ranging from 3-4 inches 99% of the time though.

My Boker Tree Barlow would handle just about anything I need it to do. I've been going to small fbs more and more lately as well. One of my favorites.

Doesn't mean I don't love my big honkers though!

A case peanut would be the smallest knife I'd take with me everyday. I like the design, and the blade length is fine and dandy.

Dragonfly. Blade is just 1/8" longer than the Ladybug, but it's got a much more robust handle and sturdier build.

Vic Classic, at bare minimum. Handles most of what I need, barring food or extended periods of cutting.

I almost always have a Wenger Esquire and Ladybug H1 serrated hawkbill (I use it in the vegetable garden). Smallest main blades I've carried are the Cricket and Dragonfly. Not very often though, my usuals are in the 3"-3.5" range.

Yet another vote for the Vic Classic or Rambler. But the Gossman PSK makes a very nice EDC fixie in a small package.

Vic Alox Bantam; I almost always have a small Tinker on me but the Bantam could get me by (and it's usually in my wallet! :D). I've carried it in the USA, France, and Germany (makes a nice little lunch knife when eating outside the DFac and not wanting to use a plastic "knife"! :D).

Knives: Spydie Dragonfly2 or Case Peanut (Both are tiny but cut and handle like a much bigger knife)
Multi-Tools: LM Micra or more often LM Squirt PS4

Actually quite often lately all I will carry on short outings is the Case Peanut and LM Squirt both tucked into the watch pocket of my jeans, that way none of my actual pocket space is taken up but I can still handle 99.9% of everyday tasks. They fit together in a watch pocket like they were made to be carried together.

The Smallest knife I generally carry is the Buck/Mayo Waimea titanium framelock. 2 1/2" blade and only weighs 1.8 oz.

Case tiny trapper is one of the smallest I carry. I have a spyderco ladybug on my keys and when I feel like it I would have a Spyderco bug on my neck. For EDC, the Spyderco squeak is as small as they come..
