SMKW and shiipping

Free shipping is packed as well as SMKW, why wouldn't they? It's up to the shipper to ensure delivery. The only shippers I've ever had poorly package a knife for shipping has been private sellers. In my experience a company just isn't going to throw a knife in a flimsy box with no padding. Even if shipping is free.

I'm not sure if you mean a company shipped you that, or a private seller. I've had a few very poorly packaged knives come from private sellers, on eBay mostly, but I've never had a company do as badly. In any event I don't care to pay double shipping just for a shipper doing their job.

They ensure proper packaging to a customer's purchase. Worth the money imo.

Like was said above, proper shipping is on the seller. To pay extra for proper shipping is getting duped. As a seller, to not ship properly is stupid as until that item gets to the destination safely, it is on you.

Is it too hard to ship a knife in the sheath? Most fixed blades I get from the exchange or online come separated from the sheath...in the same box. It doesn't make sense to me!

SMKW lost my business a long time ago. It took them over a month to ship my order, which was supposedly in stock. After calling a few times, I got the impression that they didn't care. Then, after a month, my item was shipped...and they still charged their ridiculous high shipping costs. I love supporting businesses in my home state, but there is a limit.

A lot of people don't store knives in their leather sheaths to prevent damage to the blade. Either the sells don't want to bother putting it in the sheath for shipping or they don't want a buyer to think they store their knives like that for long periods of time.
