Smoke and prayers for my dog

Dave,

Hope thing continue on the upswing and that in a short time all will be back to the same. We can learn quite a bit by the resiliency of our animals. You and your wifes caring will take him the rest of the way.

Here's to them hopefully catching it in time and more of Harry's long and happy life with you.

I was going to take some pictures for you'all, but the wife thought they'd be too gruesome, hehe, she doesn't know bladeforums. :D

And???? Where are the gruesomes???? huh? huh? huh?

I am simply delighted that Harry is getting around and adapting to a downsize in the leg department!!!!

He's getting along fine, took a ride to the local treat store to visit. Going up and down stairs unaided. Bodily functions all normal. He can roll himself over from either side. Appetite has returned to normal (I'm STARVING!) Vet checked yesterday and agreed he's getting along well. His new weight at 65 is 2 pounds less then his previous weight.

We have a skull and crossbones muscle shirt from a local store he wears to cover his lengthy incision. He's a true PIRATE DAWG!

I'll try again with the pictures. We took some yesterday that where great poses, but the wife could not get the flash to work on the camera.

Yesterday we went 4 blocks out and 4 back. His new walking pace is faster then before, not at all what I expected.

We over did it a little. He's very stiff today. We'll take it a little easier from now on. I don't think either one of us new what to expect.

Sounds like Harry will be good as new in no time! Hooray for Harry!

good dogs do that... anything to please :)
just keep the reins in for awhile
glad to hear he is doing so well

Sorry to hear that your Dog had to go through this.
I hope the worst is behind him and glad to hear that he is recovering well.

Dave,

How's Harry doing? Back to his old self? I want to see a picture of him with his skull and crossbones shirt on. And a bandana on his head and a knife held in his mouth!

Smoke and prayers sent for Harry. Glad to hear he's recovering so well!

AJ
