Smoke for Mrs. Nasty (aka SWMBO)

Thanks everyone...she is resting comfortably for now. She has ten days worth of meds to continue, and will see the doc again tomorrow, but is at least comfortable at home. All the smoke, prayer and good thoughts are appreciated.

Now we just wait and see...I'm keeping a good eye on the wound for any changes.

on-going for her specifically, and in general for her saintliness in putting up with....er....the general trials and tribulations in her life.

Nasty, I'll send some smoke up here for sure. Glad she caught it when she did and you guys were not out 100 miles from nowhere camping or something.

Makes you wonder doesn't it what would have happened if this was 1880 and something like this happened? Thank God for antibiotics!

Please let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Norm

Will send smoke. Sounds like cellulitis which is easy to catch, even in the woods. Antibiotics is a complete cure though.

Glad to hear she's home and things are looking up. Will send some smoke tonight.

Pinker and cooler today folks...both good things!

Thanks but please keep the *good stuff* going for a few more days.

She has to deal with me after all...she needs all the help she can get.

keep her slathered with Neosporin!
Being an active ninja, I have cuts on my hands and fingers 24-7. I have some neosporin on my hands as I type this.
It makes any cut heal faster. Banzai!!!

Hope she makes a full recovery. We had a coworker develop flesh eating bacteria from a small scratch. They had to amputate his leg above the knee and eventually he passed away from complications.

Yes, take care of all small wounds right away.

Great news - and will do.

Followup appointment went well today. Doc Venable is pleased with the wounds progress. Says it was a Strep (something, she forgot...I'll find out because we in theCantina like to know stuff) strain and a rare one at that. We will continue keeping it clean, moist with sterile saline and on the antibiotics.

Your smoke and prayers are doing a great job!

Thanks to all of you...you're the best!

May your wife continue to recover and heal. Prayers going out. She must be a tough lady anyway! ;)
