she's effectively there already but for life-support they put her on, to cover their legal asses, despite 6 inches of living will and signed documents and verbal orders not to. they "lost" them. oops.

so, as my brother has the legal writs and stuff (long story), they'll fix things and she'll be on her way, so to speak. given her years of advanced alzheimer's, this isn't a bad thing.
