i've been hearin a lot of news like this lately. it's never easy.
 
As well as your Mom. I lost my Mom a few years ago and was certain it was a hospital screw-up. They are very good at covering their asses.

A very tough time for you right now. Time and friends are good healers.

Also suggest that you go easy on other family members. Sometimes, during heavy crises, people will say and do things they will regret later.

I was the one who found my ex mother-in-law after she suffered a major stroke. She lived, but was greatly incapacitated. For a few days I was the Hero for going to her house and calling an ambuilance.

I had saved Mother!

When it began to sink in that she would never enjoy a quality of life again, I suddenly became the Bad Guy. If I had not "saved" her, she would have passed on and not be suffering.

I just had to ride that one out and not hold grudges against my relatives-in-law. It did take some time. I had a hard time forgetting the things they said.

I remember that day. It was the worst day of my life.
