I just had a fantastic experience with SMKW's Customer Service!

I had ordered a CRKT Rollock (on sale) and a Victorinox Tinkerer. Got free shipping on it and it cost me about 25 bucks. 7-10 business days worth of shipping. Sat back and began to wait.

Fast forward to today. One day short of being three weeks from the day I placed my order. My card has been charged and no wonderful little bundle of joy in my mailbox. So I call SMKW and ask about it.

The woman I spoke to was very polite. I gave her my information and she found that no order had been placed, yet my card was in fact charged. Apparently what happens is what they call a "phantom order". When there is a lot of traffic at the online store a card number will go through and lose its order information. She simply asked what I had ordered and said that they would not need to cancel the charge and recharge my card, they'll just use the charge already made.

So I got my Rollock still on sale and still got the free shipping. Should ship tomorrow or Friday. Now to begin the wait again...

Kudos to Smokey Mountain for their great CS people!
 
I've always had good experiences with them also.

FYI, I bet this gets bumped to The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, a forum section specifically intended for leaving business feedback.
