Smoothest Spyderco?

My smoothest folder of all is the Dialex Jr. Very underrated knife in my opinion.

Not trying to argue, or to call you wrong, this is a thread asking people's opinions, but my Domino (while it's an awesome knife, and very smooth) doesn't compare to my Sage 3, it's not even a close margin. And again the Domino is very smooth, its on bearings after all, that's just how good my S3 (blue G10) is.

It is a close call. My Sage3 (blue also) is super smooth but my Domino just nudges it out of first place. The Domino took a much longer time to break in whereas the Sage was smooth out of the box. If I'm asked same question next week, maybe my opinion will change. Again...close call.

I've changed my mind. After more closely comparing both the Domino and Sage 3 I now agree with C_K that the S3 nudges the Domino out of 1st place. It is apparent that the detent on the Sage is lighter than the stronger detent on the Domino. I think that factors in on the overall smoothness rating.

For me it's the PM 2 & then the Super leaf. Also, I have noticed that there has been very little change over extended periods of time with little or no maintance. Maybe the compression lock has something to do with it. The Sage 2 is good but I find I need to add lubricant to the detent track to keep it going.

My brown Para2 is very smooth, but for overall smoothness I pick the Manix 2 based on how much smoother that lock works than any liner/frame/compression lock.

My Southard, Techno, and GB are all pretty smooth, with the Southard maybe just a hair better than the other two. Maybe it's the flipper deployment that makes it feel slicker.

My Cf/M390 Military has been carried and used extensively and opened thousands of times.

The repetition seems to have polished the internals and now it glides open!

My manix 2 is the smoothest knife i own. It also has one of the most solid lock ups.

This is accurate for me as well. It felt like it got smoother after putting some Rival scales on it too. Crazy solid lockup and lightning quick action. But its long gone by now. If only it didn't have that hollow grind and the jimping it would still be in my rotation.
