I was just offered a new (and better) job in the same city as my fiancee's new job!
 
New jobs all around this b!tch! I was just offered a job today as well too...to the ones in the know, thanks for the support. I'm stoked.
 
Sorry to be a downer, but the worst school shooting in history has happened this morning only three miles from where I am now.

A gunman from New Jersey walked into a K through 4th grade and started shooting. 27 total dead, 18 children, including the shooter.

I'm so numb I can't even think.

WTF motivates someone to travel from two states away to slaughter children???
How are these people reaching adulthood so broken??

I was just reading this on the internet. Hang in there K9. I too have a heavy heart. I will never be able to understand what drives a person to such extremes. Prayers to the families and all effected during this time of useless, and sensless act of violence.
 
K9 - have been listening to coverage and am absolutely stunned. Can't believe someone would go into a school for kids that young and plan to shoot not only teacher / faculty, but the children as well. Man, I hope that shooter is enjoying the worst torments of hell already, because there's nothing he deserves more right now.
 
This is infuriating.

My prayers go out to the families, friends and the community involved. I pray that some answers may be uncovered and some comfort may be found.

I'm guessing you're NOT talking about school staff being allowed to exercise their right to keep and bear arms in the interest of protecting innocent lives. :mad:
 
Horrible horrible horrible. Hang in the K9. I hadn't heard the guy was from Jersey, they just said on CNN that he had a direct connection to the school but that investigators were tracking down leads on him and wouldn't disclose more.

My daughter just turned two last week and I couldn't help but think about her going to school soon.
 
It's weird how ideas are contagious, and in the Internet Age, they spread quickly. Malcom Gladwell has some essays on the topic. At one period (in the 80's?) there was a rash of teen suicides in Guam for what we would largely consider to be frivolous reasons. But the idea was contagious and the behavior spread...

If only the perpetrators didn't get off so easily it might provide some measure of prevention, but invariably they take (or get taken) the easy way out. Makes me very very angry....
 
All of the latest round of crazies seem to either kill themselves, or elect death by cop....End result, after the senseless loss of life of innocents, no one can question then them for their motives..

This all strikes me as eerily similar to the suicide bombers of the Al Qaeda and/or Taliban, or the terrorist in general. Kill innocents, kill self, 72 whatever....

Could this be the new face of terrorism, a new tactic?...

... POS's killing innocent kids.... Hell awaits them all...

I feel for the families.... That could have been any of us...

An utterly abominable act. Condolences to all those affected.

When are we going to start holding the government accountable for creating these soft targets through their infringement on the right of the Citizens to defend themselves?
 
The guy if you could even call him that, that shot those kids is a crock of shit...,
