Snark has been low last few days... Not sure what gives. I know I've been stupid busy at work. I actually worked 70 hours in the last 2 weeks.

Normal work week for me is about 20 hours...

Nice thing about being an interpreter is I get all kinds of good time off.

This is RETARDED! A stainless steel mortar and pestle?!? The whole point of them being stone is that it grinds the contents. If it is smooth you're going to be cracking but not grinding!

I still want a lava rock one... I would sell my first born son for one of them!
 
So two guys broke out of a prison north of my town and now there hiding out somewhere here. Interesting...
 
Wow, just got a really cool gift from my dad. I had this spalted maple sitting around for a while and gave it to him, since he turns wood for various projects. He gave me this pen from some of it today!

So apparently the two were last seen a few blocks N/E of my house and they haven't found them yet. But it seems as if the key to the gun safe gets moved every few weeks so that doesn't make me feel too safe.
 
Hit a few of my favorite junk shops today on a mission to find a good drawknife/spokeshave. Struck out there, but found these.

The pot was tagged as a BSA but I can't find any markings on it. The hatchet I almost passed up although it's a nice one........until I saw "S A Wetterlings" on it :D

I got my workman's grade Hultafors Bruks for $10 'cause I just lucked out.
Fortunately that satisfied the jones for Swedish steel...
Looks big enough for a boy's axe haft. :D

Anyone have a Ruger LC-9LM? I shot one today. Fifty rounds, at 7 yards, only had a handful of shots outside the 9-ring. The one I was using was the LC-9 NOT LM. The LM is "laser max" it comes with a built in laser. It's a 9mm, pocket carry perfect.
