Sounds about right. It took me awhile to get used to the new design when they switched over from the old Nam era buttpacks, but I liked the zipper over the straps.
I was kind of wanting one to put my BCUSA tarp in, as well as a few extras.They will hold a Hennesey Hammock. I strap one on the bottom of my Alice rig.
Do you know if they make them in solid OD? Couldn't find any like that.
