Don't really want to pay for the international call...Plus, they actually replied quickly the first time so you'd think they'd keep tabs on current orders. Wasn't like I just asked them a one time quick answer question. Will try again, I guess :rolleyes:...

I don't know anything about that example (or if it even exists), but the simple fact is that any knife can be broken under the right/wrong circumstances and given a bit of bad luck. When hundreds or thousands of a given model have been made, I flat-out guarantee that sooner or later one is going to end up with a fouled-up heat-treat, an inclusion in the steel, stress fractures from long-term abuse... I don't care how thick it is or how it's ground or what kind of steel or who heat-treated it, stuff just happens occasionally.

Having said that, with regards to your concerns about the BK-3... I'm not a fan of line-cutters (or stress risers in general) on big choppers. Especially not way out where the fulcrum point is going to be if you go to prying with it (and we know people are going to pry stuff with a knife that big, that's basic human nature ;) ). It's just a problem waiting to happen.

Theres a lot going on at Aldos shop. not that that justify's not returning emails but, I emailed him about a month ago and no response as well, He had a woman answering them, I dont know what happened there but last time I talked to him he had a new guy at the helm. I had trouble getting responses out of him. Last bill I had was a whooper and I requested a emailed reciept 3X to no avail. I called Aldo, and boom, that instant I had it. I try to be a patient as I can with them, Aldo told me they where in the process of moving to another shop and rebuilding there website. a lot going on over there. Aldo is a first class guy,
I gauantee he works harder than anyone else there at his shop. The best thing to do if you need something is to talk to him personally, he will bust his ass to make you happy. I have his personal cell number but I dont think it would be professional of me to give it out without his permission.
